Copyright & Permitted Use Policy

Effective Date: 22 June 2026

This policy explains how you may use Virtuous Education's curriculum, workbooks, and other materials ("Materials"), and applies to all customers — homeschooling families, individual teachers, and partner schools alike. It works alongside our Terms and Conditions and any individual School Partnership Agreement.

1. Ownership

All Materials — including text, images, worksheets, lesson plans, and activities — are the intellectual property of Virtuous Education and are protected under Australian and international copyright law. Purchasing a Product grants you a licence to use it as set out below; it does not transfer ownership or copyright to you.

2. Permitted Use

2.1 Personal/homeschool use: You may use purchased Materials for homeschooling your own children, and make copies for immediate family members within your own household.

2.2 Classroom/teaching use: Educators may use Materials in their original form for teaching within their own classroom or educational setting, including printing copies for the students in that class.

2.3 School licensing: Schools using Materials under a School Partnership Agreement may use them in line with the specific terms of that agreement (see our School Collaboration page). Schools receive Materials as physical, printed copies rather than digital files.

3. Prohibited Use

You may not:

  • Copy, scan, or reproduce Materials for resale or any commercial purpose.

  • Share digital or physical copies with anyone outside your purchasing household or institution, including via cloud drives, learning platforms, or social media.

  • Upload Materials to publicly accessible or shared online platforms.

  • Alter, adapt, or create derivative works from Materials without our prior written permission.

  • Remove or alter copyright notices or watermarks.

4. Fair Use

Brief excerpts may be used for genuine educational commentary, reviews, or critique, provided clear and appropriate credit is given to Virtuous Education.

5. Disclaimer

Materials are provided as an educational resource. While we take care to ensure accuracy, Virtuous Education does not accept liability for errors, omissions, or outcomes arising from the use of the Materials, beyond what is required under the Australian Consumer Law.

6. Enforcement

Use of Materials outside the terms of this Policy may result in suspension of access and, where appropriate, legal action to protect our intellectual property.
